Can I connect a 6A and a 16A plug at the same time?
No. This is one combination socket that accepts either plug size, one at a time. The 6A/16A wording describes compatibility, not two independently usable outlets.
Does this model connect to SmartLife or WiFi?
No. This SKU is the standard socket with a manual switch and power indicator. Choose the separate WiFi socket model for app control, scheduling and energy monitoring.
Can it be installed outdoors?
It is an IP66-rated enclosure intended for outdoor installations. Correct cable sealing, mounting and cover closure are essential. Do not treat it as an open socket that can be exposed to water, or as a submersible product.
Can I use it for an EV charger or another high-load appliance?
The socket box is not an EV charger. Suitability depends on the equipment's plug, current demand, duty cycle and the installed circuit. Have the charger manufacturer or a qualified electrician confirm compatibility and the required protection before use.
Is a padlock or the illustrated plug included?
No. The product images illustrate a compatible plug and padlock in use. Choose a padlock that fits the lug.
Does the enclosure replace electrical circuit protection?
No. A covered socket does not replace the earthing or protective devices required for its installation. Have an electrician select and verify the complete circuit.

IP66 Waterproof Socket Switch 6/16A with Lockable Cover & Power Indicator
The amiciCare outdoor socket box provides a fixed, covered power point for spaces such as garages, balconies, outdoor walls and commercial exteriors. Made in India, this standard model includes one combination 6A/16A socket, a manual switch and a power indicator.
Choose the correct socket configuration
One compatible plug can be connected at a time. The 6A/16A designation describes the two supported plug sizes; it does not mean that two appliances can use separate outlets simultaneously. This model has no WiFi or app control. Separate double-socket and WiFi models are available in the family.
A covered installation with practical access
The IP66-rated polycarbonate enclosure has a hinged cover, fastening clips and a lug for a separately purchased padlock. Five pop-out cable-entry positions give the installer routing choices. Outdoor performance depends on correct mounting, sealing the used cable entries, keeping unused openings closed and securing the cover.
Match the box to the circuit
The specification graphic lists 220–250V and 6/16A. An electrician should verify the supply, plug, appliance load, cable size, earthing and required circuit protection. This enclosure is not a substitute for those protections. For EV charging or other sustained high-current applications, confirm compatibility with the equipment manufacturer and installer.
