Can this replace my MCB?
No. Manual explicitly requires combining with a micro circuit breaker (MCB) for short-circuit protection. Use as metering + adjustable voltage/current protection alongside—not instead of—an MCB.
What are the factory defaults?
Per DDS238-VAP manual read: over-voltage default 270V, under-voltage 170V, over-current 40A on the 63A device, with short default switch-on delay. Always re-check on your unit’s menu.
Is installation DIY / no electrician?
No—guided preference is electrician + upstream MCB.
