How to use

Fit the batteries
Open the cover on the back and fit 2 × AAA batteries, matching the + and − marks.

Set the clock and units
Hold SET for 2 seconds, then step through 12/24 h, time, date, °C/°F, pressure unit and altitude unit. Press HISTORY to save.

Calibrate the compass
Hold COMPASS/− for 2 seconds until CAL shows, turn the device 12 full circles while holding it level, then press COMPASS/−.

Set your altitude
Press SET and ALTI/+ together, then enter a known altitude with ALTI/+ and COMPASS/−. Press HISTORY to confirm.

It reads from −700 to 9000 m (−2300 to 29,500 ft). Altitude is worked out from air pressure, so readings drift as the weather changes. Set a known altitude before each trip. No accuracy figure is specified.

It predicts the next 12–24 hours from changes in air pressure, for an area of about 30–50 km. It is a guide only, so check your local weather service as well.
